UK government again trying to get backdoor access to Apple’s user data

Apple, Google, Meta must face trial over promotion of gambling apps

By William Gallagher Apple, Google, and Meta have all been denied their requests to dismiss the latest class action lawsuit alleging they promote illegal gambling.Apple’s App StoreThere continue to be multiple suits against Apple over gambling apps on the App Store, with class-action ones filed in 2020, and then separately in 2020. The new ruling is part of a continuing case that sought to describe Apple, Meta, and Google as bookies.Previously citing “exceptional circumstances,” Judge Edward J. Davila allowed the companies to appeal against the case making that distinction. Elon Musk’s lawsuit should be thrown out, says Apple
