Mac accessory vendor OWC acquires Thunderbolt 3 enclosure maker InXtron

OWC has confirmed it has acquired InXtron, a case manufacturer formerly known as Macpower Peripherals, a purchase that could enable the Mac hardware retailer to further increase its offerings relating to docks and external enclosures for use with Mac desktops and MacBooks.

MacBook Pro keyboards could get data overlays and adjustable key mechanisms

Apple is continuing to work on ways to improve the experience of typing on a keyboard, including data overlays either on the key, or by harnessing augmented reality and virtual reality to overlay symbols on a physical keyboard, and a system that could allow users to adjust the resistance when pressing a key to their personal preference.

California reintroduces ‘Right to Repair’ bill after previous effort failed

After a failed attempt in 2018, California lawmakers will again hear arguments for the institution of so-called “right to repair” legislation that would compel electronics makers to provide repair manuals, tools, parts and other related material to consumers and independent repair outlets.
