New HDMI 2.1 specification brings support for 4K at 120Hz, 8K, 10K resolutions

The HDMI Forum has released the latest HDMI specification, HDMI 2.1, with the new protocol variation able to drive 4K at 120Hz, 8K at 60Hz, and 10K across a new cable capable of 48 gigabits per second of data transfer.

Energous CEO makes tenuous reference to future iPhone as leading platform for wireless charging

iOS-compatible Ring Floodlight Cam features 110 decibel siren, cloud camera recording

Ring, the manufacturer of the connected Video Doorbell, is giving homeowners another way to secure their home. The Ring Floodlight Cam is a combination of a security camera and motion-sensitive outdoor light, which can be used to monitor an area remotely via a mobile app or a computer, alerting users if suspicious activity is detected nearby.

Apple confirms $1 billion investment into SoftBank’s ‘Vision Fund’ for tech business growth
